The inaugural AIYD conference was hosted in New Delhi and Mumbai, India from 30 January to 2 February 2012. Delegates were addressed by high profile diplomats, journalists, and business leaders from Australia and India, and participated in a number of site visits, including to Gandhi Smriti and the Red Fort in Delhi, and Chabad House and Dharavi slum in Mumbai.
