Anthony Vipin Das

Dr. Anthony Vipin Das is a distinguished ophthalmic surgeon and digital health innovator with expertise spanning clinical practice, education, and healthcare technology. He serves as Chairperson of the Fernandez Innovations Forum and is a member of the Digital Board of the National Cancer Grid of India. Formerly Network Associate Director at L V Prasad Eye Institute, he led the digital transformation of its health system, including the development of eyeSmart EMR, that clocked 15 million patient consults across 300 centres globally and is a featured case study in Harvard Business Review. A Chevening Scholar and TED Senior Fellow, Dr. Das is also a TR35 honoree by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and has published over 160 peer-reviewed publications, including Nature and The Lancet. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians, Glasgow, and an alumnus of Kakatiya Medical College, Duke Eye Center, and St.Cross College, University of Oxford. He is an alumnus of the 2023 cohort of Australia India Youth Dialogue (AIYD). An avid traveller, he is the author of “Around the World in Magnets”.
