Nupur Sharma is a member of the Executive of Delhi State BJP (main party in opposition in Indian Parliament), on the roster of Television Spokespersons of Delhi State BJP and also the National Media Co-in charge of BJYM (Youth wing of BJP).
She is a qualified lawyer by profession having completed her LL.M. (Master of Laws) in International Business Laws from The London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE) in 2011. During her years as a BA (Hons) Economics student at Hindu College and LL.B. student at Faculty of Law in University of Delhi, she was active in extra-curricular activities and student politics. In the year 2008, she was elected as the President of Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) which is perhaps the largest democratic student union election in the world with around a 100,000 students voting. While still in the University and up until now she’s helped in various social causes she believes in whether by helping Teach for India (Teach for America sister concern) establish it’s base in Delhi or by organising Seminars on Women Empowerment and Social Justice in various colleges and educational institutes. Currently on a year-long sabbatical from her Supreme Court Law Firm job, she’s working full-time and contributing on her part to ensure a resounding electoral victory for the BJP in the upcoming Indian Parliamentary (Lok Sabha) elections.
