As Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Tata Consultancy Services, Karen has designed and led Tata’s STEM program, innovation for social impact pro bono programme and various other initiatives focusing on community health, cultural diversity and the environment. Tata’s CSR programs have won a number of awards; most recently Winner Human Resources Institute Awards – Corporate Social Responsibility (2016) and Winner Global CSR Award for Women’s Empowerment (2016).
With over 16 years’ professional experience in social change and advocacy, Karen has worked in a corporate and not-for-profit setting. She has worked in the fields of women’s, Indigenous and human rights, international development and employment law for organisations such as KPMG and Amnesty International.
Karen is a lawyer and holds a current practicing certificate. She sits on the Law Society of NSW’s Corporate Law and Legal Technology Committees. She is the board Secretary of Women for Election Australia. Karen holds a Bachelor of Laws, Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies.
