Suvir Khanchandani originally hails from Mumbai, India and has graduated with an MBA (Marketing) from the University of Technology, Sydney. He also holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Mumbai and has completed a three-week study tour at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, focusing on topics like Global Strategies in Emerging Markets, Microfinance, Entrepreneurship and IT Outsourcing in India.
Suvir is now employed by one of India’s leading pharmaceutical companies, Cipla Ltd., and is stationed out of their ANZ Corporate Office in Melbourne as Commercial Manager-Business Development. Prior to joining the team in Melbourne, he was a member of the International Business division at Cipla’s HQ in Mumbai, working with the Global Marketing Services and Global Oncology teams of the organisation. He has also been involved in the Australian Sporting Goods industry as a Sales Executive in Sydney. Prior to that worked with one of Australia’s prominent telecommunications providers catering to the backpackers/travellers segment.
Suvir was also part of the UTS Peer Network and graduated from the BUiLD (Beyond UTS International Leadership Development) programme at the UTS Business School. He also developed sound leadership skills and completed an internship with an organisation funded by the Department of Mental Health & Ageing with a focus on improving the organisation’s business in the digital space.
Suvir commentates on sports and current political trends via twitter, maintains a cricket blog and follows the AFL during the Aussie winter.
