Nipun Malhotra

Nipun Malhotra is the Co-Founder of the Nipman Foundation that works in the areas of health and advocacy for people with disabilities. He is the Founder Chair of the FICCI D&I Working Group on Empowering Persons with Disabilities in the corporate sector.

Nipun is the founder of ‘Wheels for Life’- a crowdsourcing platform connecting those who need wheelchairs to donors who can financially contribute for them. With a presence in twenty-five states, ‘Wheels For Life’ has impacted more than 1,950 lives.

Nipun is an alumnus of St Stephen’s College, Delhi School of Economics and the Indian School of Business. The Indian Red Cross Society recognised him with the ‘Social Entrepreneur’ Award in 2018.

Nipun has been at the forefront of numerous efforts to ensure access for people with disabilities. Some of the battles he's lead are on accessible transport, insurance for people with disabilities and the removal of taxes on disability aids.

Nipun believes the world can be made an equitable place for people with disabilities by addressing 3 ’A’s – Attitudes, Accessibility & Affordability.

A prolific writer, Nipun’s writings have appeared on The Indian Express, NDTV Blogs, The Print, Scroll and The Hindu.

Nipun was born with arthrogryposis, a rare congenital disorder. He is a wheelchair user.
