Meg Washington
Leading Australian artist Meg Washington has long been recognised as one of Australia’s pre-eminent singer-songwriters and composers. Her decades-long career has spanned jazz, contemporary music and classical composition. She is the recipient of 5 ARIA awards, an APRA award, and was awarded the prestigious Sidney Myer Fellowship in 2018 in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the arts.
In recent years, Meg’s practice has expanded to include screenwriting and narrative song, and Meg now works not only as a musical performer but as a multi-disciplinary artist working across multiple fields, including film production and voice acting. Meg co-wrote and co-produced the 2024 feature film ‘How to Make Gravy’, starring Hugo Weaving. She has released 5 studio albums of original music, and plays the voice of Calypso on popular television show ‘Bluey’.
