Deepthi Bopaiah

Deepthi Bopaiah is an athlete-turned-banker-turned-administrator who has spent over a decade driving systemic change in Indian sport. After a successful corporate stint at HSBC, she decided to pursue her passion for sports and help change the narrative around India’s global performance in Olympic and Paralympic arenas.

As CEO of GoSports Foundation, Deepthi has been instrumental in shaping the journeys of 70 Olympians and Paralympians, including 18+ Paralympic medallists. Her leadership has enabled diverse and deserving talent to meet opportunity to excel—earning GoSports the national award - Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar from the President of India in 2019.

A Chevening Gurukul Fellow from the University of Oxford and an MBA graduate from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Deepthi also co-founded Meraki Sport & Entertainment, one of India’s leading integrated sport marketing and consulting firms.

She serves on the committee of the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. In 2023, she was recognised with the 75@75 UK-India Achievers Honours by NISAU—an award celebrating 75 Indian alumni in the UK for their contributions to nation-building, marking 75 years of Indian independence.

A proud Kodava from the land of coffee and sport, she has also completed the Everest Base Camp Trek, embodying resilience in every step of her journey. Deepthi leads with purpose—consistently challenging conventions and creating opportunities for the next generation of Indian athletes and youth.
