ROHITH PRAKASH
Rohith Prakash is a PhD candidate at Monash University. His research focuses on liquid hydrogen infrastructure, contributing to Australia’s clean energy transition, net-zero objectives, and long-term decarbonisation goals.
Rohith holds a dual master’s degree in International Automotive Engineering. He began his studies at RMIT University in Melbourne and spent time at FH Aachen University in Germany before returning to Australia to pursue doctoral research. He has worked across research and industry settings in both countries, with a focus on sustainable energy systems and hydrogen technology development.
He is a recipient of the prestigious Maitri Scholars Program, awarded by the Centre for Australia–India Relations, an initiative of the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). As part of the inaugural cohort of scholars, he has been recognised for his leadership in science, technology, and innovation. Rohith has contributed to bilateral initiatives through stakeholder engagement, industry collaboration, and participation in high-level events, including the launch of the Australia–India Economic Roadmap and academic exchanges involving senior government representatives from both countries.
He is particularly interested in cross-sector collaboration to accelerate the adoption of future energy technologies and in developing practical, high-impact solutions at the intersection of research, policy, and industry.
