Sidharth MP

A Television Journalist and Science Communicator, Sidharth MP, does in-depth video reports and write-ups from India and abroad, with a special focus on strategic sectors: space, defence, nuclear energy, maritime domain. Detailed coverage of the Indian space agency ISRO, the country’s diverse scientific and commercial partnerships in the space and military domains are a major area of interest. He has interviewed leading scientists, military leaders, policymakers, business leaders, among others.

His growing body of work includes reportage from India’s first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, reportage from the base hosting India’s homegrown Tejas fighter jets, covering India’s long-range maritime reconnaissance and anti-submarine warfare efforts from Naval bases on the country’s East and West Coast. He has done sustained TV broadcasts explaining the science behind prestigious space missions such as Chandrayaan-3 Moon Landing, development and launch of NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar(NISAR), the most expensive Earth-imaging satellite for civilian use.

In the Nuclear energy domain, Sidharth has reported extensively from the Arctic region: from aboard the world’s first and only Floating Nuclear Power Plant and the world’s only fleet of Nuclear-powered Icebreaker ships.

Beyond coverage of technical subjects, he has reported amid challenging conditions from landslide-hit, flooded regions. This includes chronicling the devastation at Wayanad in Kerala, in the immediate aftermath of the deadly landslides that claimed over 400 lives in July 2024, and showcasing the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) undertaken by Indian forces.

As an avid DSLR photographer, he also dabbles in aviation, wildlife, astrophotography.
