Vaibhav Jain

Vaibhav Jain is a climate economist and co-founder of TerraTrack, an agri-climate technology venture supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

His work focuses on agricultural practices that reduce emissions while saving water and improving farmer incomes.

He has worked with the OECD Development Centre in Paris and the World Bank in Washington, DC, and has experience in India’s private sector.

Vaibhav holds a master’s degree in economics from the Barcelona School of Economics and a bachelor’s degree in economics and international affairs from The George Washington University. His research has examined climate impacts on energy systems and long-term economic growth in Sub-Saharan Africa.

He co-writes Carbon Sense, a blog on climate policy and carbon markets, and occasionally performs stand-up comedy.
