Ujjvala Ballal Shetty - CEO, Aveksha Hospitals Pvt. Ltd. Ujjvala is an entrepreneur, reluctant lawyer, and committed feminist. 

Ujjvala leads Aveksha Hospitals, a growing chain of multi-specialty hospitals in North Bangalore, now spanning two locations with nearly 300 beds. Under her leadership, Aveksha continues its mission of delivering high-quality, affordable healthcare with compassion, discipline, and a deep sense of community responsibility.

A natural leader from a young age, Ujjvala served as Vice President of AIESEC India, overseeing 20 local chapters and 2,000 students in the world’s largest student-run leadership organization. 

She began her career at Inclusive Planet, a pioneering startup focused on improving literary access for the visually impaired, and later worked with a senior litigation lawyer in Bangalore.

Beyond the boardroom, Ujjvala is a voracious reader, inquisitive traveller, and an endurance athlete. She has completed two triathlons and continues to challenge herself in new ways. Her greatest learning, however, comes from home. 

Married to Deeraj Shetty, an entrepreneur and founder of “Your Personal CFO,” she is also a proud mother to Anaya (9) and Shlok (6)—who teach her patience, empathy, and the importance of listening every single day.
