Srikar Maddi

Srikar Maddi is an entrepreneur and ecosystem builder working at the intersection of emerging technologies, venture capital and international innovation systems across Australia and India. With over 15 years of experience building and scaling technology ventures, he brings a cross sector perspective spanning health, education, financial services and digital infrastructure, with a focus on strategy, product innovation and talent ecosystems.

He is the founder of WeClan, through which he has been actively enabling collaboration between businesses, startups and investors across both countries. Over the years, he has played a key role in supporting market entry, building cross border teams and facilitating long term partnerships, becoming a strong cultural and business bridge between the Australia and India ecosystems.

Srikar was a recipient of the University of Queensland Michael Kasprowicz Scholarship in 2009 and has since remained closely connected to the startup and innovation landscape, mentoring and advising early stage ventures through platforms such as ilab, ygap and Startupbootcamp.

More recently, his work has focused on frontier technologies including artificial intelligence and quantum. Through his initiative Qubiz, he is contributing to the development of a cross border quantum ecosystem aligned with national priorities in both countries, with an emphasis on talent mobility, startup development and research to industry collaboration.

Alongside his work in innovation, he is also involved in reviving a century old educational trust in Andhra Pradesh, reinforcing his commitment to long term social impact and inclusive growth.
