Boka K Rochill
Boka K. Rochill is a Policy Analyst and Urban Systems Practitioner whose work centres on strengthening bridges between institutions and communities to make policy responsive to local realities. Trained as a civil engineer with postgraduate specialization in Urban Policy and Governance, his practice bridges technical systems with participatory governance. Previously, as a Climate Fellow with the National Youth Climate Consortium, he led city-level urban heat risk action research in the frontier town of Dimapur informing subnational resilience planning. As an IUCN Hope Media Fellow, his work spotlighted locally led climate adaptation efforts across communities in the Eastern Himalayas. He co-leads the Youth Climate Impact Community (YCIC) Nagaland Chapter, mobilizing young people for climate action and civic participation. He has represented youth voices at regional and international platforms, including the Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD) and the International Conference on Community-Based Adaptation (CBA20).Currently with IPE Global Limited, Rochill supports government-led disaster risk reduction and resilience planning at the subnational level, advancing locally grounded approaches to climate resilience.
