Taha Ahmad
Taha Ahmad is an international multi-award winning visual artist based in India. Born in 1994, he was represented as a part of VII Photo Agency’s mentorship program USA. Taha Ahmad was the first Indian to receive The Documentary Project Fund/Award in 2017.
He has been published by The Times and The Sunday Times UK, Vogue India, New York Times, Vogue Britain, Architectural Digest India, Hindustan Times, Conde Nast, The Hindu, The New Indian Express, Times of India, The Week, etc and have been exhibited in museums, festivals and galleries across the globe such as Sharjah Art Foundation, Alliance Francaise New Delhi, Pier-2 Art Center Kaohsiung Taiwan, Reach Gallery Museum Abbotsford Canada, Serendipity Arts Festival Goa, Eyes on Main Street USA and La Napoule Foundation Artist Residency France, Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts Japan. He has worked with American Indian film director Mira Nair, American film director/producer Lydia Dean Pilcher, French film director Laetitia Colombani, British Indian film director Sandhya Suri, Indian film director Vishal Bhardwaj, Indian film director Vidhu Vinod Chopra, and Netflix.
Taha has been featured among 150 photographers in Dr Paul Lowe’s book Photography Rules: Essential Do’s and Don’ts from Great Photographers, published by Frances Lincoln Press 2020 and has shot for Rahul Mishra, Goodearth and Louis Vuitton. He has been listed in the ‘Regenerative List’ of 100 next-gen and current leaders compiled by Gucci, United Nations and Irregular Labs 2020, Forbes Under 30 Asia 2024 and The Week Magazine’s 40 under 40 India 2022.
